Designing the first Creator Ads journey

Company
BrandLovrs, now Creator Ads
Period
Early product phase, 2024
Role
Product Designer, working with the Design Lead
Team
Design, Product leadership and partner teams
OVERVIEW • 00
I worked with my design lead on the first experience for a platform to plan and run campaigns with many creators at scale.
CHALLENGE • 01
The problem
BrandLovrs already connected brands and creators, but the market called for a more structured way to create and follow content campaigns. The product direction changed: the brand experience would need to bring planning, creator selection, deliverables, approval and monitoring into an operation that could handle more volume. The initial focus was on smaller creators combined in campaigns with many participants.
RESEARCH • 02
We studied Meta Ads, TikTok Ads and Google Ads to understand how they organized campaign creation, budget, targeting, publishing and monitoring.
We mapped the brand, system and creator journeys from campaign configuration through invitations, production, review, posting and closure.
We turned needs raised by leadership and the market into flows, product stages and first screens for team discussion.
DEFINITION • 03
Focus and direction
The proposal let brands configure a posting campaign with a brief, deliverables, desired creator profiles, timeline and budget. It also needed to support post-launch operations: creator groups, invitations, content review and delivery tracking. AI analysis of brief guidelines was part of the early vision, with human review represented in the interface.
How can a campaign with many creators be planned and tracked from beginning to end?
APPROACH • 04
How I worked
My Design Lead guided the design track and worked most closely with product leadership. I partnered with her on reference research, journey mapping and the first flows and interfaces. Work advanced from the original idea to screens used to prepare the first media campaign launched during my involvement. The images document that period, not the current Creator Ads product.
The journey map connected three perspectives: what the brand needed to configure and decide, what the system had to organize and what each creator would receive to produce and deliver content.

FEATURES • 06
Guided campaign creation
Brief, objective, budget and campaign rules were organized into steps to reduce reliance on manual operations.
Stages, deliverables and timeline
One campaign could include multiple stages, posting formats and dates for production, approval and publishing.
Groups and invitations
The structure supported creator selection, groups and tracking of invitations and participation.
AI-assisted content review
The interface explored AI checks against brief guidelines as decision support while keeping human approval or rejection visible to the operation.
SELECTED SCREENS • 07
The first creation structure
A screen from an early prototype. Other material contains campaign and profile data and was excluded from this public selection.

Campaign brief
Creation starts with the objective, message and general parameters. Side navigation previews stages, deliverables, guidelines and timeline.
TESTING • 08
How we validated
The journey and screens were discussed throughout product conception. I participated until the first media campaign of this phase launched. I do not have enough evidence to attribute quantitative results, adoption or commercial performance to this design work.
RESULTS • 09
An initial journey linking campaign creation, management and delivery with creators
The platform's first interfaces developed in partnership with the Design Lead
Participation through the launch of the first media campaign in this early phase
LEARNINGS • 10
Designing a campaign platform required looking beyond the creation screen. A shared map of brand, system and creator journeys revealed dependencies between briefing, selection, production and approval. This case records my contribution to a collective effort led by my Design Lead.
