An event website and an app concept for Oficina Brasil

Team
Direct collaboration with Oficina Brasil
OVERVIEW • 00
A freelance project with two connected deliverables: the Oficina Brasil Conecta event website and an early mobile concept for content, community and partner activities.
CHALLENGE • 01
The problem
Oficina Brasil brought two needs: a website to present the Oficina Brasil Conecta event and an initial app proposal with news, a forum and partner activities. Each deliverable served a different purpose, but both needed to feel recognizably part of the same brand.
RESEARCH • 02
I reviewed Oficina Brasil's brief and needs to separate what belonged to the event experience from the broader product vision.
I organized content and primary actions for both tracks: a focused journey on the website and repeat-use navigation in the app.
I explored a visual direction grounded in the brand's identity, using blue as a base while making room for editorial content, community and partners.
DEFINITION • 03
Focus and direction
The website would bring together information about the event. The app would explore a more regular relationship with the audience through content, forum discussions and partner-led activities.
The same brand needed to work in two moments: the event now and an everyday community.
APPROACH • 04
How I worked
As a freelancer, I organized the work into two tracks. The website focused on presenting the event clearly and consistently with the brand. The app remained a concept, with high-fidelity screens that made an early idea tangible: content, community and partner activations in one mobile experience. Oficina Brasil reviewed and approved both proposals.
The website was conceived as an experience focused on the event. The app extended the relationship by organizing a home feed, news, forum and partner areas with activities, points, rewards and rankings.

Highlights, news and primary entry points support an experience designed for repeat visits.

Partner space
The page presents Volkswagen's journey and prepares participants for a partner-specific experience.

Consent before the journey
Access to activities depends on reading and accepting the terms, with clear blocked and enabled states.

The leaderboard combines a podium, points and participant list to make the competition easy to follow.

Topic-based forum
Categories, labels and counters help people find discussions about cars, customization and maintenance.

Discussions and posts
A topic view keeps the partner context while organizing authorship, dates and the sequence of replies.
TESTING • 08
How we validated
Oficina Brasil approved both proposals. The app remained an initial prototype, with no record of formal user testing or development. The website recording preserves the approved navigation.
RESULTS • 09
Two proposals approved for different Oficina Brasil needs in 2024
A concrete vision of how content, community and partners might coexist in an app
A visual record of the event website and the product exploration from that period
LEARNINGS • 10
The website had a defined purpose: present the event. The app helped discuss how the brand might take part in its audience's everyday life. The prototype gave that idea a form and enabled approval as an early proposal.
